Testing the Competition

In this video, you will see a side by side laboratory oven test of (2) popular 250F hotmelt case seal adhesives in a T Peel configuration with a 200 gram stress.

Result: Northwest Adhesives A-036C “Cool Melt” held up to 156F = 10F higher heat resistance than Henkel 30-250A “Cool Lock” which failed @ 146F under the same T Peel conditions.

Conclusion: If you are using a 250F hotmelt adhesive, you can use the new, Northwest Adhesives A-036C “Cool Melt” in place of Henkel 30-250A “Cool Lock” and benefit with better heat resistance for your packaging at significantly lower cost.
